Internment of foreign visitors
and tourists
in Mexico

IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

As of August 18, 2022, Mexico requires to Brazilian nationals a printed visa in their Passports.

In order to apply for a visa, Brazilian nationals must request an appointment on the SRE website. Upon having an appointment number, it will be necessary to go to the selected Mexican consulate and submit the documentation. They must also comply with the requirements published on the websites of any of the Mexican consular representations.

1. Present current documentation in the immigration review filter

a. Valid Passport.
b. Multiple Immigration Form (FMM) complete.
c. When required, present valid visa.

2. Provide information and personal data

The immigration authority may request that the travel purpose and economic solvency be verified. It could be through the following documents: hotel reservation, return flight tickets, tours entrance tickets, or even a letter from a public or private organization or institution inviting the foreign person to participate in any unpaid activity in the national territory, with the specifications of the purpose of visit and estimated time of stay.

The Monterrey Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) could provide an o cial letter of support to facilitate this process to any visitor.

3. If visitors meet the requirements by law, they will be allowed access to the country.

4. Authorized time of stay.

Migration agents will indicate in the FMM the time they can stay in Mexico, which will be no longer than 180 days.

IMMIGRATION FORM

The visitors from listed countries must apply for a Visitor Visa without permission for paid activities. This procedure has a cost of $48 USD and should be requested at the o ce of any Mexican consulate.

Requested documentation:

• Visa Application Form (Original)

• Valid Passport or valid Identity and Travel Document in accordance with international law (Original and copy)
• 1 Photograph of maximum 6 months old, front and visible face, without glasses, in color, white background, and passport size (32 mm x 26 mm)

• Proof document of financial solvency (Original)
• Proof document of the legal residence of the visitor (applies if the visitor is not a national citizen of the country where the application is made) (Original and copy)
• Payment of Duties.
